How to Make the Perfect French Press Coffee at Home

  1. Prepare the Cafetière: Place it on a flat surface and pull the plunger out of the carafe.

  2. Pre-heat: Pour boiling water into the cafetière to warm it up, then discard the water.

  3. Add Coffee: Use one rounded teaspoon of ground coffee for each cup (about 50g for 3 cups).

  4. Add Water: Pour hot water (ideally 92-96ºC) over the coffee grounds, saturating them while leaving about 2.5 cm of space at the top. Stir gently.

  5. Brew: Place the plunger unit on top without pressing down, and let it brew for four minutes.
