Indonesia Sumatra Lake Toba
Experience the bold richness of our Indonesia single-origin coffee, showcasing a full body with low acidity and distinctive flavor notes that include hints of tobacco, spices, and chocolate.
Flavor Profile:
- Rich & Complex: This coffee is characterized by its deep, concentrated flavors, with herbal nuances and a spicy finish that make each sip a unique delight.
Origins: Indonesia is among the largest coffee producers globally, and Sumatra is renowned for its striking and recognizable coffees. Our beans are sourced from the region near Lake Toba, the largest volcanic lake in the world, providing an exceptional environment for coffee cultivation.
Processing Method: Our coffee is processed using the traditional Giling Basah method, which involves hulling the parchment off the beans at approximately 50% moisture content—much higher than the 10-12% moisture level common in other regions. This unique technique contributes to the coffee's full body and rich flavor profile.
Bean Varieties: We proudly feature Catimor and Typica varieties, known for their distinctive characteristics and exceptional quality.
Quality Assurance: Our beans are classified as Grade 1 and are Triple-Picked, meaning they are hand-sorted three times to remove any defects. This meticulous process ensures a consistent cup that includes only perfectly ripe fruit.
Craftsmanship: Roasted using a blend of traditional techniques and modern technology, our Indonesia Sumatra Lake Toba coffee delivers consistent, high-quality flavor in every cup.
